Not necessarily, but it is more likely that they will be terms from the case study, so make sure you know that well before you enter the exam. Try going through your business textbook and exercise books as well, to pick up any key terms that might be useful. Good luck! :)

Im doing business studies from ccea too.
If youre doing the same one as me tomorrow then you go to www.icaa.com, click on downloads, Business Studies (Spec. B). There you have all the past papers. Hope its not too late for your case study! It can also be used for the written paper as well in June!

AQA AS Level Business Studies... How do I apply to the case study?

We Answered:

I'm doing the same exam as you (on thirsday 21st right?)

Basically you use your knowledge, but apply it to the case study. for example, if a business has poor cashflow and is quiet in the winter, then you must state a cause of poor cash flow is that there is not much cash coming in in the Winter. If this business deals in cash only (like your supermarkets such as ASDA and Tesco), and the question asks name improvements to solve cash flow problem, dont write something like get debtors (people who owe you money) to pay quicker, becuase it doesnt relate to the case study as the business deals with cash and doesnt sell on credit.

Basically, use your knowledge you have been taught, but make sure you have read the case study and it is in your mind when answering the questions, especially the big questions (10+ marks)

I'm sitting the same exam tomorrow, I guess you should try and cover as much as you can really things like reasons for setting up a business/ different types, business plans, marketing etc. make sure that you are able to analyse the information that they give you. My advice would be to check out the past papers on the AQA website
BUT make sure that your answer refers directly to the case study!!
