Jaime Said:
What should I choose for my A Levels? We Answered:
Let me tell you one thing:When I applied to a college for A Levels I chose A Levels that were not in the same 'families'. They refused to allow me to enrol. I wanted Biology, Classics and Critical Thinking. They told me 9/10 people choose 4 A Levels and dropped their fourth. It's more quality than quantity.
Now I take Archaeology, Classics and Geography - in the same 'family'.
Also, it is not what you're always best at - most likely you enjoy what you're best at but sometimes choosing what you enjoy the most is best. For example, something you're great at may land you an A, but something in your career path may land you a B.
Law is incredibly hard so if you're not passionate about it now, 2 years down the line you will hate it.
I have always wanted to go down the heritage field, Archaeology, History, Classics, Arts, libraries, museums etc etc so I chose History at GCSE which allowed me the appropriate knowledge for AS. Depending on your current GCSE's they normally define your Uni path. I hope to take combined studies - History and American Studies (History) so I knew what I wanted, and fortunately, I am good at History.
Why not call up Connexions and talk to an adviser or even your tutor. For now, if you haven't already seen it, you could check out the Connexions Jobs4U page. It is really good.
