Once you understand the elements of marketing, you can create your own case study. For example: Set up a shop and a mix of retail products. Create a study of which products are moving (selling) and which are not.
(Through doing an inventory assessment)

Implement a case study by trying to run advertising and promotions for the non-moving products and then evaluate the results.

I will tell you in most cases advertising and promos work because 1. That's why there is such a thing and 2. Consumers love to think they are getting a good deal. (Some people even buy things they don't need or want because they think its just such a great deal that on impulse (one of the buying positions in retail) they will make a purchase.

Good luck and this is a very exciting field.

case study. Marketing. its urgent and need some help. ?

We Answered:

1. Two critical factors impacting the strategic plan at Fun Spot are : Purely untapped market and Calm & serene location.

2. The mission statment "there's something here for everyone" is very much market oriented since it caters to all segments of the market - corporates, individuals, kids and families.

3. Ron & Gail monitor the business portfolio by changing/upgrading the rides, including added attractions and by having catering to additional segments of consumers.

4. Fun Spot falls in the 1st quadrant i.e. it is a Star. The reason for this business to be a star is that the business is experiencing a very high growth rate and has no competitors. The market is still very under penetrated, so, there is a huge potential for growth. The market share is totally dominated by Fun spot due to absence of competition.

5. Market penetration strategy:
- Providing Good deals (discounts etc.) to corporate houses
- Attracting more people to organise Weddings at Fun Spot
- Providing lodging to visitors - soemthing like a Resort with a Spa
- Added attractions for kids like candies stand etc.

6. Ron & Gail focus on continuosly renopvating the rides and adding newer attractions that focus on all segments of the market

Phhhheeewwwwwww....... that was tiring.. hope it solves the case study
