First of all it is not your responsibility to take care of your brother.

I know that St. John's University has a Sports Management program, as well as Hospitality and Tourism. There may be others in NYC that offer similar programs. They might be a bit more generous than NYU as far as tuition help/scholarships. Same NYC college experience, more palatable price tag.

I don't know much about jobs in those fields, so I can't comment on that, but I figured I could at least let you know that there are other options in the area to explore.

I can say that New York is a great city for school! Everything is so easy to get to, and it's exciting!

I think its time for a case of tough love even though it may be very hard for you and your family. You need to contact all relatives let them know to no longer lend him money and if they do then it is their responsibility to collect it back...FROM HIM... that you have a family of your own and you can't continue to cover all his debts. Next contact your brother.Tell him NO MORE rather he wants a reality check or not hes going to get one. tell him to Pick a job any job as long as it pays. Tell him its time to make it on his own and if cant do it alone overseas then its time to come home and do it there. Let him no that everyone is having to suffer financially in order to pay his bills because he wants the perfect job and not just one that pays. If you and your family dont stop paying his way in life he will never grow up and accept responsibility for anything he may do.
