Derek Said:
Failing school because I think too much?We Answered:
Id say do it because at the end of the day, what you want to do for a living will also be what you enjoy doing, but the timing really is up to whether if you can hold on to your course. If you do not want to ditch your course, take this risk, you never know when a degree will come to be of use in the future.OK, if you are feeling that your course is dragging on forever, completely useless and still have too many years left, start your website and never look back.
But if you can hold on for a few more months, or years, it never hurts to have a degree, and by the look of things, your website can still progress, just more slowly than if you were out of school.
Sorry its a bit vague... Its early in the morning

Failing school - perhaps I should drop out?We Answered:
As a parent who put kids through college, my first question is: who's paying for your college? If it's anyone other than you, then you are doing them a disservice. You're wasting money and time because of your lack of commitment to your education. If someone else is paying your freight, then you should be honest with them and tell them what you posted here.So let's do a reality check.
1. Part of maturity is having the persistence to see a goal through. Anyone with a brain and an imagination can think of a thousand great ideas. The important thing is picking one and focusing all your time and energy on it. That's what leads to success. You can't shotgun it; you have to focus on something with the precision and attention of a sniper rifle. Your inability to commit to education and focus on your classes rather than all your great ideas may just be immaturity. If that's the case, then you're not ready for college.
2. If your inability is because you really don't want a college education, and I mean really want it, not lip service to wanting it because it will help you get rich or because Mom and Dad want it, then spend some time charting out a course of action that will get you what you really want. Of course, that means making a viable plan that will lead to goal achievement.
3. If you've sunk 5 grand into a website, then you should be making enough money on that site to break even. If you're not, then you're wasting your time and money.
4. If you think you want to leave school, then you need to figure out how you're going to pay for the real world: food, rent, utilities, transportation, insurance, clothes, health care, dental, vision, and all those fun things people like to do.
5. This is a tough one, and some tough questions to ask yourself. Have you always had this confused focus? Were you like this in high school? Take a good hard look at yourself, and make a list of some things you've wanted to do and have worked to achieve without waver. If you've never completed any of these tasks, but always dropped the present one for something new and exciting, then you might want to discuss that with your family or your counselor.
6. For heaven sakes! Shut down the computer and get more sleep!
Good luck. Call your parents. Talk to them.

Chances of getting into a top 15 MBA program? We Answered:
I think I answered this question before. You can probably get into one of many very good MBa programs. Most MBA programs prefer students with 2-3 years work experience after the first degree, but many accept students right out of college if they have good grades and a high GMAT score. Some MBA programs are designed specifically for new college graduates without work experience. MBAs with good grades command good starting salaries.
The Official MBA Guide provides a lot of information about the MBA degree and MBA schools and programs. It's a comprehensive free public service with more than 2,000 MBA programs listed worldwide. It allows you to search for programs by location (US, Europe, Far East, etc.), by concentration (finance, marketing, aviation management, health management, accounting, etc.), by type of program (full-time, distance learning, part-time, executive, and accelerated), and by listing your own criteria and preferences to get a list of universities that satisfy your needs. Schools report their accreditation status, tuition cost, number of students, class sizes, program length, and a lot of other data. Schools provide data on entrance requirements, program costs, program characteristics, joint degrees, and much more. You can use the Guide to contact schools of your choice, examine their data, visit their web site, and send them pre applications. You can see lists of top 40 schools ranked by starting salaries of graduates, GMAT scores, and other criteria. It's the best service available at http://officialmbaguide.org.
