For GCSE Economics: Case Study paper, how do you layout the final general 14 mark question?

We Answered:

it would help if you give us the question

Debbie Said:

Would you please critic my case-study paper? and grade me?

We Answered:

Ah Mademoiselle, a pretty intern, a handsome patient, admonishments about matters of the heart by none other than the dentist, feelings of invincibility and high blood pressure in an otherwise healthy and fit male. Case solved. The culprit here is hormones definitely, but of a different kind. Maybe the patients blood pressure goes up every time he sees "this" particular doctor. Try changing doctors and provide him with an elderly male grandpa figure as doctor and see if BP is still off the charts. My suspicions are the male invincible Romeo's pressure will plummet to normal this time around. You get a B+ for the term paper. Although your academics are sound, you need some tuition with real life experience, which I am sure will be remedied after long hours of practise in your chamber. Ciao and good luck with the systolic chart.

Case Study paper on NASCAR?

We Answered:

I am not sure if you are discussing gaming as in game theory, or gaming as in role playing. But if it is game theory that you are looking to do a case study on, Nascar is perfect. You have 43 cars on the track each week and each team's objective is to win. But to win, you often need help of others, to some extent, you will let someone else get ahead for a while if it might benefit you later (save your gas or tires, ect). Teams sometime get together to pit at the same time, check the tire wear on each other's tires, ect. All this sharing and working together while each team's ultimate goal of winning. So, to answer the questions you have:

What makes NASCAR a game or not a game? It is considered a game, since you have a winner and non-winners at the end of each race and at the end of each season.
Who are the players? The players are individual race teams. Consisting of a driver, crew chief, pit crew, engine builder, tire specialist, shock specialist, and many more back in the shops.
What is the motivation for playing or participating in NASCAR? To win, to be the best at what you do, the money.
What do people get out of it? Winning, doing what they love to do, money
Is it fun? Why and why not? If it wasn't fun, people wouldn't work so hard to do it. There is alot of failure, alot of hard work and alot of sacrifice before making it to the top series in nascar. If it wasn't fun, the drivers and rest of the crews wouldn't still be in it.
What kind of skills or abilities are necessary? Focus, desire to win, able to drive a car, able to work as a team, able to communicate with others on how the car need to be set-up.
What kind of "insider" knowledge exists? It really is easier to succeed in nascar if you know someone.
How does the world of NASCAR define our culture? "If you really want something and work had to get it you can eventually succeed." OR "2nd place is only the first loser."
