HPV is not so scary as long as you get regular pap smears to make sure your not doing anything abnormal down there. And there are so many types just like you said, that don't have any symptoms. And not all HPV are STD's. I wonder if those are configured in their little studies. Who knows...

Your completely right, the vaccine should be given to females BEFORE they are sexaully active. The recommended ages are 9-26 at this time. The clinical studies for "Gardasil" were on females ages 16-23 and appear to be effective for up to 5 years at this time. Any longer than that, time will tell. I applaud this vaccine! Also, the vaccine doesn't protect against all strains, just certain ones.
