Harvard Case Studies

Pedro Said:

Has a person with down syndrome ever made it to Harvard?

We Answered:

"Academics seem to be secondary to the diversity aspect."

Recheck your admissions stats, hon. Ivies try to be diverse in terms of cultural background, but I think you'll find they're still pretty skewed, and the mental challenges that students face tend to be along the lines of depression or ADD. When it comes to gifted Down syndrome students, think much closer to the community college level.

Where to buy teaching notes for case studies?

We Answered:

Amazon.com sells them (link below). You can also get them online from Harvard Business School if you don't want to visit their store, and you might also try Barnes & Noble. Some cities offer School Supplies for Teachers......if you have such a store in your area, go there. Good luck.

Nathaniel Said:

Could an ordinary person enter law school? Harvard in this case.?

We Answered:

Someone with average grades and test scores can certainly get into some law school -- but unless his father is an ex-president, it is unlikely he would get into a graduate program at Harvard.

No -- it is not discrimination to choose students based on merit.

Georgia Said:

Does anyone know of a good University level referencing website?

We Answered:

I, as it happens, attend the University of Sydney. This page might help you:

As for citation, not all parts of the University use the Harvard system. Different departments use different citation systems (isn't that wonderful?) For instance, I'm a physics student, and so I normally cite my sources in the format used by the American Institute of Physics. My friends in law use a completely different format, apparently.

MBA case study books?

We Answered:

Go on Amazon and search on Business case studies.

There are several good books on there that will emulate what you are looking for.

Also, just ask an MBA and I am sure they would be happy to give you their old case studies. I threw mine out.
