in nurserys i have worked in gel nails were ok as they are pretty strong nail varnish was a no no if there was contact with under 2s or food prep home applied falsies werent allowed either because they cn snap off to easy but from my experience it varies widely depending on the nursery ur best bet would be to check out ur placements specific uniform rules if its not stated in there ur fine

If you are taking any safety classes, be sure to choose something you are interested in since it doesn't apply to your major. Look up who is teaching the class you are interested in on http://www.ratemyprofessors.com so you can get an idea of how good the class is.

The courses you mentioned above are all excellent, but they can be made horrible by a bad professor.

Whatever the implications are from violating fire codes.

It's against code to prop open any fire door unless the means you are using to prop the door is fire controlled. A fire extinguisher certainly doesn't quality.

It's against code to use fire protection equipment for any means other than it's stated purpose. Using an extinguihser as a "door prop" is another violation. So is leaving an extinguihser sit on the floor as NFPA 10 states that they must all be mounted with the bottom a minimum of 4" from the floor.

I really hope you can find someone! Sorry, I am in the US. Hopefully he can get better so he can be well and provide an enriching enviornment for his daughter. Foster care is horrible, I personally know of children who have died in the system because the foster parents were more into money than taking care of the children! Can anyone else in the family take care of the daughter or help him with his daughter so he can get the adequate treatment?
