Industrial engineers function to improve industrial processes. For example, on a assembly line building lawn mowers they may find that too few people are putting carburetors on the engines causing the people down the line to have to wait around. Anybody waiting around in a company wastes money.

Another example is figuring out the most efficient routes for delivery companies like UPS. Industrial engineers are taught complex mathematical tools for computing the fewest miles that can be driven to make deliveries to all the customers on a delivery route. This saves driver time and gasoline and money.

Industrial engineers are taught computer simulation techniques to solve problems such as setting the timing cycle on traffic lights at intersections to minimize the total amount of time cars waste sitting at red lights.

Industrial engineers are also used to set up new manufacturing processes including procuring the correct machinery and layout of machines on the factory floor to mesh with existing processes in an efficient way. This includes, for example, having the end of the assembly line terminate near loading docks.

I don't suppose it would hurt you. Redbull is a very common mixer at bars and I don't think anyone has ever died by mixing a redbull and vodka with a couple of beers.

At least I haven't died yet.

I wouldn't suggest drinking too many redbulls though, too much caffeine is really terrible for you. People have died from drinking too many at a time.

I also wouldn't suggest alcohol while studying either. It's a depressant, which will make you tired.

Have a beer with dinner or a snack, and I'd stick to soda or coffee for the rest of the night.

There's always a day where you don't have anything to do to have those few beers.
