Stella Said:

case study respiratory?

We Answered:

OH I LOVE THESE :) Reminds me of taking board exams. LOL.

1. Aerosol treatment with albuterol and atrovent.
2. Initiate BiPap - bc intubating copd patients is a last resort.
3. Lasix
4. The blood gas is within normal limits for a chronic COPD'r.....which he is because of his CHF and 25 year smoking past. They run with higher CO2s because of their chronic lung disease. BUT because he is still dyspenic and his respirations are now shallow, I would intubate and initiate mechanical ventilation.

Hopefully thats all correct. Ive been wokring in pediatrics for almost 2 years now. My adult skills are rusty :)

Frank Said:

What do these vital signs tell you? Im trying to figure out a case study..Please help. ?

We Answered:

There could very possible be some sort of infection in this patient that is causing the high temp. High temp usually indicates that the body is fighting off something. This also increases the heart rate. With an increased heart rate, blood pressure can increase. You can't give a definite diagnosis to this patient, but these vital signs can lead you to the right direction. Further lab test will need to be done to see if indeed he has an infection. If an infection is present, the WBC will be increased. If an infection is not present, then heat exhaustion may be another thing to consider.

High fever can cause seizures and confusion, so this can be something to take into consideration as to why he was found unconscious.

help me to solve this Case study!!!!?

We Answered:

Definitely the situation states that the company requires a training, specifically Team Building and Customer Service.

But another training must be consider; Managerial Training for MARIA.

About letter "b", obviously there is a need of improvement through training, i guess an assesment is not necessary, as the situatuin speaks for it self.

DOCTORS / NURSES CASE STUDY QUESTIOn?

We Answered:

Hey I just graduated nursing school so maybe I can help? Fetanyl and dilaudid are heavy medications, watch for respiratory depression, urinary retention and lethargy; check your drug book.
Did you mean he has hx of HYPERthyroidism?
They preserve the parathyroid glands because they help in part to regulate calcium in the body.
I would definitley use risk for aspiration on this guy because he has had previous radiation and now has throat surgery again make sure you keep a trach at bedside and monitor O2 stats hold food until u check his gag reflex. Would need more info to answer the rest. Good luck.

Brian Said:

i have to make a case study on preeclampsia. below are the guidelines/examples.. pls help?

We Answered:

Males do not ever get pre-eclampsia, and you'd be hard-pressed to find it in a 59 year old. It is a disease of pregnancy.

This question is unintelligible.

If you have a REAL question, you'll get real help. You won't find anyone here willing to do your assignment for you.
