Well all the companies use the software design models. But, selecting of the design models depends upon the company. No company doesn't follow all these models. If they weren't satisfied with a particular model they might approach on a different model for a different product which ultimately leads to defects in the models.
Softwares are assumed to be good if they have followed the design cycle perfectly.

However if you do want to take the time to THINK, LEARN, and then CREATE your own project....

www.bls.gov They have alot of great charts, take a look at their 'OOH' or occupational outlook handbook section or any section really you may have to sift and look around but that site would work well for what I think your looking for

Or if your school has paid for www.eureka.org you can get a log in for that or pay for one...

Sorry, but this is not as simple as one application. Project management in terms of software development spans the whole scope of application development. From project inception and vision usually MSWord is used to put the documents together. After inception and vision, then contract negotiations occur and requirements need to be gathered. Project's may produce prototypes and project schedules need to be determined. Application architectures needs to be decided along with technologies, etc.

Most project's use a mix of different software package including, MSWord, MSproject, MSExcel, Rational Rose, Development IDE, Web-Based Share point, etc. No one product will do it all. It depends a great deal on your SDLC process in place.
