Strategy Case Study

Seth Said:

What strategy can Dell use to defend its competitive advantage in China?

We Answered:

The Chinese market is extremely price sensitive, and COMPUTERS have become a commodity business, as Lenovo's purchase of IBM's PC biz demonstrates. Dell's weak competences for innovation make it difficult for Chinese competition, so it is pretty much left with a penetration strategy- where it would focus on one particular niche or market segment in an attempt to create a beach head for further product deployments in the larger Chinese computer market.
I would think that it would do what it did successfully in India, which was agree to establish assembly plants or customer service centers in China in return for preferential access to some of the markets entrenched by Chinese firms. Dell can do this thanks to its size.

Describe behaviour and possible coping strategies of the case study person with dementia and their family?

We Answered:

When a loved one, grandparent, parent has dementia, it is like a slow death. It is like losing them years before their body dies. The grief is prolonged and agonizing. The classic coping is to take care of the care giver(s). Please be more specific if you want a more specific answer. What is happening in your life that makes you ask this question?

Pauline Said:

has any one the anser of case study for crafting & executing strategy ? plz send to me?

We Answered:

There are a few different ways to write up a case study. I prefer to one- to two-page format these days, making you get to the point and keep people's attention. However, years ago, I used to see many 4-5 page case studies. It's your choice, but often less (well written) is more.

In the advertising/PR agencie I've worked, here's how it is done, by sections:

-- Program at top of page
-- Photo and/or logo
-- CLIENT: (name)
-- TIMING: (... January 2006 - June 2007)
-- CHALLENGE: (short paragraph or two stating a little about the client and what they wanted you to handle/resolve for them. make it sound like they REALLY needed help bad and explain who the target audience was you needed to reach.)
-- SOLUTIONS: (bullet points explaining in one sentence each the various tactics or actions applied. start sentences with action words such as Created, Developed, Enhanced, Positioned, Promoted, Initiated, Merged, Secured, etc.)
-- RESULTS: (provide bullet points of 'measureable' results. best to use numbers in each point you list. examples: Generated 2,000 website visits first week; Sold 190 ebooks; Created 2,000,000 gross advertising impressions, Distributed 4,000 branded premiums, Attended by 500 members of the target audience, etc.)

Do this in PowerPoint or a similar software where you can make it look colorful and well organized. And there you have it!
