Dred Scott was a horrible decision.
That being said, if I was your hypothetical slave owner, I probably would have felt good. It meant that I could travel with my slaves to free states, and live there with the slaves, and they would still be my possessions.
Disgusting, but that's the way it happened.

3. Disagree. Because.

4. They were going to drag the country/office through the mud. Nixon had enough dignity to resign and not drag us through that (unlike someone else).

5. The scholar was right, but not in this case. This was about breaking down old institutions that founded our democracy so un-legislated ideas (liberal) could be implemented by the courts.
