It doesn't sound like you earned your diploma, so don't be surprised if you can't get a copy. Technical schools are for-profit, so they are often pretty lax about admissions requirements as long as you can pay. You might be better off just taking the GED; most places will accept that instead of a diploma.

The only reason I know it's in Georgia and not Maine is because I used to live around there.

In other words, you'll find that unless people lived within 50 or so miles of the school, they don't know the two-year schools... nor do they care one whit about the differences between them.

Go there, do well, have fun. The credential you leave with means more than where it came from.
