What is a good all round HBCU (Historically Black Colleges & Universities) to attend and why?We Answered:
I have two best friends that go to school in Atlanta. One attends Clark Atlanta, and the other attends Spelman College. They both are pretty remarkable institutions, and the encouragement they receive is amazing! I don't attend an HBCU, but I've visited both campuses...I would have loved attending either school. I hope that helps.Derek Said:
are there some historically black colleges or universities in wisconsin? We Answered:
No, there are no historically black colleges in Wisconsin. Here's a list of all federally recognized HBCUs by state: http://www.ed.gov/about/inits/list/whhbc…Eduardo Said:
Do Historically Black colleges and universities have Affirmative Action programs to take more non-Blacks?We Answered:
Yes, I am surprised you are not aware of this. Jackson State even recruits white golfers from South Africa and they accept the scholarships. Any HBCU wants more non-black students. Tougaloo College in Jackson is a very respected school which seeks out white/Hispanic/Asian/Middle Eastern students by offering academic scholarships and other breaks. On their campuses, you qualify as a minority. So in New Orleans, Dillard and Xavier are in the game. SUNO of course is a waste of time.

What is the best hbcu (historically black colleges & universities) for engineering? We Answered:
Not sure why the above poster recommended Tennessee State for you; they don't offer petroleum engineering. In fact, I don't think any HBCU offers petroleum engineering--you may be better off at a non-HBCU school or majoring in general engineering and getting a master's in petroleum engineering.
