What are the best community colleges in Chicago ?

We Answered:

community college? I don't think it matters much. find the cheapest. get all A's and you shouldn't have a problem transfering to a 4 yr for a BS in business. Some community colleges are now offering 4 yr degrees as well.. check into that. Again.. ALL A's.

if you're interested, Northwestern's Kellog School of Business is one of the top MBA programs in the country.

Community Colleges In Chicago?

We Answered:

Oakton is not in Chicago. Oakton has locations in Skokie and Des Plaines, which are Chicago suburbs. Oakton is supposed to be really good.

Chicago's system of community colleges (or "city colleges") is called the City Colleges of Chicago. Each school in the system has its strengths; choosing one really depends on your location as well as your interests and goals.

I'm a big fan of the CCCs and think they're a great way to build a solid foundation to your college education while saving money. I've found that they have some surprisingly good faculty.

Late add: You should be able to get a solid foundation in business at any of the CCCs; I recommend the Loop college, Harold Washington. You should definitely check out Wilbur Wright, which is on the far Northwest Side and therefore closer to you than any of the other CCCs. It's commuter-friendly for both public-transit users and drivers.

The way you originally wrote your question implied you were looking for schools in Chicago and thought Oakton was there.

I am not sure if your residence location affects the price of your tuition; that is something you might want to look into if you live in Skokie but want to attend a CCC.
