College Admission Requirements

Cassandra Said:

Can you help me understand the college admission requirements for science?

We Answered:

Lab sciences are biology, chemistry and physics - any course that includes a lab component, where you repeat classic experiments and use equipment. Some high schools offer science classes that don't include labs - like psychology, or some anatomy courses without dissection - that don't count towards the lab requirement for college.

Pamela Said:

Will a GED cover community college admission requirements?

We Answered:

Admission requirements to the college - yes.

Most likely you will be asked (or should ask yourself) to take an english and math assessment test. This will insure that you can handle the level of skills needed to succeed in the International Business Course.

See an academic advisor at the community college as soon as you can.

Ted Said:

Meeting College Admission Requirements?

We Answered:

You are never guaranteed admission. Every institution set their own standards and requirements.

I would suggest visiting their website and looking for undergraduate admissions information. Explore their programs and choose a few that interest you. A good admissions advisor can help you narrow your choices.

Next, go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. This is where you apply for federal financial aid. You will need to complete this regardless of where you want to go to school.

You will also need an official high school transcript. Get it from your school and do NOT open it. If you want one for yourself, gen an extra, but keep one sealed for them.

Eileen Said:

If I'm short of college admission requirements can I take just the additional credits at a community college?

We Answered:

Of course you can! I have a question though...are you transferring from Maryland or did you just graduate out of high school. Either way im pretty sure you can take the courses at a community college however you have to check with the transfer credit office of your new school to see what credits can transfer from that particular community college.

Good luck!!

Bobbie Said:

Have any one got into a college under the admission requirements?

We Answered:

i have, but that was mostly because of my class rank

Anita Said:

How do I find out what admission requirements a college has?

We Answered:

I'm assuming you looked under prospective students, admission procedures and that didn't answer your question.

They have a online catalog and that must have the requirements in it. The application just asks for an application fee, your standardized test scores, and they want to do an interview. I guess they don't have a minimum score, they just look at everything about you. Call the admissions office and ask what requirements they have.

Also download their catalog, it has to have all that information.
I would check into this college carefully. Seems a little funny.
