College Gpa Requirements

Helen Said:

College GPA admission requirements?

We Answered:

Notre Dame - 3.8/4.0 must be in the top 5% of class

For many of the other schools your intended major would be needed to make a requirement for GPA. At U of Illinois getting into engineering or business is a lot tougher than getting into the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Are College GPA Requirements for Senior Year Only?

We Answered:

They look at your cumulative GPA, as earned throughout your high school years.

However, colleges do examine your entire transcript and like to see evidence of improvement. If you've done considerably better as a junior and senior than you did as a freshman and sophomore, that can be very helpful.

A question about SAT and GPA requirements for entering college?

We Answered:

There are many colleges that will accept you with a high GPA and a low SAT. Some people just do not do well on that type of test and can do fine in college. It depends on where you live as to which colleges will accept you, but you will make it. Good Luck!

Cecil Said:

Is it possible to get into a college without meeting GPA requirements?

We Answered:

No it is not. If they set it as a requirement, then you need to fulfill that requirement in order to even be considered for admission. otherwise they won't bother with your application.
