If you are living in the dorms than colleges usually require you sign up for the meal plan. There is a small chance they will excuse you if you have dietary reason and/or doctor's note. My friend, the trip from Villanova to Iona College doesn't 10 hours. It take at least 2 to 2.5 hours by commuter and inter-city. Here's how to get form Villanova to Iona College.

Step 1: take SEPTA Regional Rail Line R5 (Paoli Local) from Villanova Station to Philadelphia-30th Street Station.

Step 2: at Philly-30th Street, transfer to Amtrak. Take the Northeast Regional Service from Philly to New Rochelle, NY. The one way fare on the Northeast Regional ranges from $46 to $65. However, if you have your Student Advantage discount card, you can have your one way fare reduced by about 15%.

Step 3: once in New Rochelle, NY, transfer to the Bee Line bus. Take either bus route #45 or 45-Q from the New Rochelle train station to the college, which is located on North Avenue. The bus will stop in front of the college. The one way fare on the Bee Line bus is $2.25 per ride (coins only).

you take either the #60, #61, or #62 from fordham road (the buses actually begin at the fordham metro north station)

take the buses to new rochelle. when it gets onto main street, and makes that left hand turn onto north ave, get off at the corner, walk across the street and take the #45 bus.

the #45 will take you down to the college of new rochelle.

as an alternative, if you are near the 6 train at pelham bay park, you can pick up the #45 bus there too.

Albany SUNY is supposed to have a very strong program in criminal justice. Also, John Jay College of Criminal Justice CUNY. Adelphi University in Long Island also has a criminal justice program that is decent.
