The College of Saint Rose or SUNY Plattsburgh? We Answered:
Other posters raised excellent points - what major do you intend to pursue? SUNY (or PSUC, as I affectionately call it from time to time) is a pretty good school. They have a rather good environmental program (Miner Center experience), as well as a pretty good teacher education program (many of my grade school and high school teachers went there, as did both my father and my uncle back in the 1930s when it was "Plattsburgh Normal School."The school is small enough that you can walk to most of your classes. I don't know what their current bus service is between the campus and the main part of downtown. But, with a bicycle, you can get around where you need to go, except that riding a bike can get dicey in winter.
I can't tell you anything about Saint Rose, other than it's located in Albany.
As far as cost, I'd expect your expenses would be less in Plattsburgh, as compared to Albany (unless you live in Albany, and you could live at home while going to school). P'burgh is located in a primarily rural county (Clinton County).

College of Saint Rose (Albany)? We Answered:
I go to another university in the Albany area and i can tell you that there is plenty to do. While i don't know about the partying, i know St. Rose is very close to college bars that many students go to. It is a very big college town and there are many opportunities to go out and do things (Siena, UAlbany, RPI, Exelcior, Hudson Valley, Skidmore, and Union are just a few of the colleges in the Albany area so there are plenty of parties). As far as reputation, St. Rose is a fine school who prides itself on education. Everyone i know who wants to teach is either going to or will be looking to get into a program at St. Rose. I suggest you check it out to see what you think.Rick Said:

Jennifer Said:
is the college of saint rose hard to get into?We Answered:
not really. it depends on your grades and your after school activities. I applied and got in. I was a B+ student, involved in activities and did not do well on my SAT's. Good luck with your applications!
