NYU nursing is good, being that NYU is in general a prestigious school. There's also the Beth Israel School of Nursing, Columbia School of Nursing, and a few others. I'd say Columbia has the best just being an Ivy and all, but as a current NYU student, I'm going to say that I see a lot of smart people walking around in scrubs, so we're not too bad.

All consider GPA directly or indirectly. Those that do not require that you complete all prerequisites satisfactorily before you can apply for the nursing program or be wait-listed.

There are probably thousands around the country.

You might check with your county and state nurses associations if you want to stay in-state. If you want to move out of state, you might well plan on going to school where you want to move.

off the top of my head, Lewis Clark State college in Idaho has a pretty good nursing program. It isn't really a nursing school, but it has a good nursing program

other then that, I think there are other colleges that have good nursing programs, probably most universities that have anything medical.

Texas Woman's has one of the largest in Texas. It is in Denton and Houston. I'm not sure were the nursing is located. I think they have a good reputation. The Health science center in San Antonio also has a good program. It might be a upper disivsion only school however. I'm not sure. Those are the two programs I would check out.
