What Colleges in Atlanta Major both in Music and Pre-Med?We Answered:
Any college with a music, biology and chemistry major will suffice. Pre-med is not a major, it's just a set of classes that you have to take (most of which are covered by biology and chemistry).Howard Said:
What are some good community colleges in atlanta? We Answered:
You should look first at the public community colleges. While some private schools offer good training for jobs, they have two very big disadvantages. First, they are MUCH more expensive. Second, and even more important, a lot of them are in trouble these days for enrolling students in programs for which they know the student is not suitable. They just get the money (or worse, they get the student to sign a loan agreement). Then, when the student drops out or just realizes that he or she should be in a different kind of program, they are stuck paying on a loan for a bad education. So, if you are unsure which school is right for you -- as you say you are -- go with a regular, public community college. Al least you will have some flexibility about courses, and you won't get in over your head financially.
The next thing to think about is whether you want a community college just to get started and plan to go on to a 4 year college, or whether you want a community college to get specific job training. If you want just the job training, then your choices become a little simpler. Not every community college offers all the same programs. Find one that offers what you want, whether it is training to be an x-ray technician, a dental assistant, a mechanic, or something else. If you are going on to a 4-year college, most community colleges have a guaranteed-acceptance program with other state colleges. If you do okay at the community college, you are automatically admitted to the 4-year school. Make sure that your community college offers that. It will save you a lot of worry later on.
Beyond that, look at the practical issues. If you are living at home, how close is the school? is the commute something you can stand? Traveling an hour or more each way is going to cut into your study time AND your social life, so make sure that it is not too far away. Do you want sports or something else in terms of extra curricular activities? If so, make sure the community college has those things.
The Web page below (from the University of Texas, oddly enough) lists all the community colleges in every state, including Georgia, with links to each one's Web site. You may find it useful in seeing which schools have programs that you are interested in.

I hope this helps, and I wish you the best at whatever college you choose.
