Colleges In Connecticut
Alfred Said:
What are the best black colleges in Connecticut? We Answered:
"Black" colleges? Connecticut colleges are equal opportunity and cater to all races and religions. I received my undergraduate from Western in Danbury and would suggest any of the state schools. Of course Yale is great, Wesleyan in Middletown is great Univ. of Hartford or UConn in Storrs is nice. I would suggest a college that has all types of people; it's more like the environment you'll work in. I personally don't understand why a student will go to an all black school like Howard or schools like them. They don't reflect society. Don't get me wrong, a close friend received his doctorate from Howard and it is an excellent school.Alex Said:

What are some colleges in Connecticut that have Equestrian teams? We Answered:
I don't know of any in CT, unless UConn has a team, which they might. There are several schools in MA and RI, though. Even if your mom is pregnant, you can still go away to school. You'll still be able to come home for vacations and be home in the summer, so I don't understand why you are limiting yourself to just your home state, unless cost is a factor. As a newborn, it won't make a whole lot of difference to your new sibling whether you are there or not- most babies spend their time eating, sleeping, and eating some more. That tends not to be very entertaining for someone your age. I know what I am talking about, because my half brother was born about a month after I started college as a freshman. ( He's 27 and a doctor now.) For the first months of his life, all he did was sleep, eat, and crawl around at times. You won't miss much if you are away in school, believe me.You should check out schools in the neighboring states, you really should. There are some top schools with equestrian teams and programs in them. Massachussetts has Smith College, Mt. Holyoke, Williams, Boston College, Harvard. CT has Yale, but I don't think Yale has an equestrian program at all. If you are per chance interested in joining the Coast Guard, you could attend their academy at New Haven. Rhode Island, CT's neighbor to the east, has Johnson and Wales University and Brown, which both have equestrian programs.
