The Florida Legislature has created a school for really bright students. It is located in Sarasota and is called The New College of Florida. They have one of the highest placement rates into top graduate programs of any liberal arts college in the US.

They do not have education as a major - like many people, the graduate from NCF would take the State's nighttime and weekend teacher qualification program to get certification.

Well worth checking out. Small, elite, highly-selective -Tier 1 liberal arts college
