It might be Jacksonville University. I was looking on their Marine Science page, and they had a list of majors in the science field, and Zoology was one of them.
I didn't look into Zoology that much, but that may be the school, since the only other school I know of that offers the 2-year degree in Zoology is Santa Fe College- in Gainesville, FL.

I live in Jacksonville, Florida and hear about Heritage Institute all the time on the radio. This place is really not a college, it is a tech school / vocational school; beauty school to be exact. In all honesty, esthetics is esthetics and once you are certified it doesnt exactly matter where you graduated from, all beauty schools are really the same. This should be more of a personal decision for you. Do you like the feel of the campus? Its location? Its facilities?

If you are not from Jax, could you see yourself living there? Can you afford it?

Take into consideration any scholarships or grants they are willing to give you as well.

I would also like to add that most chapters have a website listed. This is and EXCELLENT tool to use to find out if they have a mailing list you can join *I know some chapters have this option available on their website* as well as a calender where you can find out upcoming events. This is an excellent way for my sorors to get to know you,and for you to get to know them.

It won't be necessary RUDE fro you to send an email displaying your interests, but as my soror stated, some sorors frown upon this. By showing up to different events, and volunteering for community service projects...TRUST ME,,my sorors will know that you are interested especially after they see you attend the Rush.
