Colleges In Los Angeles

David Said:

Good colleges in Los Angeles?

We Answered:

In response to someone else's answer-- you'd move to LA to go to a community college because (other than NYC, Boston, Miami, and maybe a few other cities), that's where the fashion industry is... and you want your college to be in or near the fashion scene so you can easily integrate yourself into that scene instead of going to some hick town community college that is nowhere where the scene is that you want to be in. Making a career in those things you listed above entails-- being in the right place, networking (establish professional relationships/connections), be smart, have a exceptional product and ideas, and network in the right places with the right people, establish "credentials" (good reputation)-- that's how you make it in the line of work you want to be in. Luck in success is a small part of the pie, a large part of it you can control.

I randomly found this on google:

In Philadelphia, there is a school that is cheap and not too far from NYC, and the cost of living in Philadelphia ain't bad- http://www.philau.edu/fashiondesign/

good luck,

What are some colleges in Los Angeles, California??

We Answered:

UCLA and USC are in LA (not Berkeley...San Fran)

but in the nearby suburbs are Cal Tech, the 5 C's (Claremont, Pitzer, Pomona and Harvey Mudd and a Grad school) which are each seperate colleges but really close by to each other.

UC schools are hard to get into out of state...so good luck!

Well, if you want to be a musical theatre actress, then I strongly recommend AMDA (American Musical and Dramatic Academy) in Los Angeles. :) it's awesome.
