The local community college or county vo-tech school may have a program for emergency medical technican (EMT). Please forgo those private overpriced for-profit tech schools :)For general career info: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search.
US colleges (including community colleges): http://www.utexas.edu/world/univ
The local hospital(s) may also have a training program for emt. It's also wise to make sure that the program is accredited by the National Registry of EMTs (though their site is 'under construction' regarding schools): http://www.nremt.org
