Between those two - I would definitely go to UO.
Sonoma is just a slight step up from a community college in the eyes of buisness professional who will be hiring you later on.

Any Good Horse colleges in Oregon?

You might begin with a community college here in Oregon.
(Treasure Valley).

And then transfer for your final two years...after spending two years in a horse major you should then know if you'd like to continue with that major.

oregon colleges with low gpa requirements?

We Answered:

So the only university in Oregon without a GPA requirement is Southern Oregon University and all of the others require higher than a 2.0. However, most have exceptions (like high standardized test scores) and you can appeal to get in with a lower GPA.

You should work as hard as possible to raise your GPA because if you're admitted with a below-standard GPA they will have little patience if your GPA drops even one term in college.

You may also consider attending a community college and transferring. Community colleges have different admissions standards and that could be to your advantage if you're not admitted to a university or want to make school more affordable. Transfer admissions requirements are lower. Also if you have a higher GPA from a community college when you transfer scholarships may be easier to come by.

Here are the links for admissions requirements for each Oregon university:

University of Oregon: 3.0

Oregon State University: 3.0

Portland State University: 3.0

Eastern Oregon University: 3.0

Western Oregon University: 2.75
http://www.wou.edu/student/admissions/un…

Southern Oregon University: no established requirement

Basically, the larger the school the harder it is to get into. They don't have to compete for students.

Hope that helps. Good luck.
