I had the same dilemma as you when I was deciding between going to a university or to a community/junior college. I know that people usually look upon community colleges as lower/bad education but it's not.

Some of the professors as CCs actually teach the same curriculum at a university. Also, if you are looking to eventually go on to a four year college, the associates doesn't even really matter considering that now n' days, everyone needs a bachelors or above.

I would say that you should go to a CC. From experience, it's cheaper and it's not true about getting not the same education. At times, it's sometimes even better considering that students are more driven because they want the bang for the buck.

Besides, if people say that it's a good and strong nursing program, I say go for it! It wouldn't hurt to save a little money, now would it? :)

You have 3 years of college under you, so there's no need to go to community college at this point, if your goal is transfer. Skip the cc.

Talk to Cheney. Ask them if you can defer your admission for a term. You'll then pay the deposit to hold your place - but it *will* allow you to hold your place there.

Then apply to Temple, to start in the Spring term. See if you get in, and what the costs look like after you get their aid offer.

If you don't get into Temple, go to Cheney. If you do get into Temple, then compare the costs for Temple v. those for Cheney, and decide.

You should probably check the website. Most likely the application process isn't open for the Spring Semester 2008. Graduate schools often let you submit your application before taking the tests; however, they will not review the application until it is complete. So it doesn't really matter if you submit the application right now (even if they take it this early) - it doesn't buy you anything because they will not consider you for admission, or even open the application for review, until you submit the SATs.
