-Derrick Ward with TB now formely 1000 yard rusher in 08 with NY Giants attended Ottawa (Kansas)

-Tim Hightower Zona Cardinals attended Richmond College

-Brandon Jacobs NY Giants attended Southern Illinois

-Matt Forte and Mewelde more are from Tulane

-Brian Westbrook if he gets a team attended Villanova

It all depends on how good the player is. If he or she is really good before they get to High School then the coaches will start to watch and take notice but they usually will start the offical recruiting process once they have entered HS and start to play on Varsity. Anything that happens before that would just be a lot of word of mouth and watching.

1. Make a video of your best games and send to Div 1 coaches
2. Make an APPPOINTMENT to meet with selected coaches IN PERSON
3. Ask your coaches who THEY know in Div 1 who would be interested in you
4. Start hanging around the local minor league club, get their coaches interested in you, and see if they can recommend Div 1 to you
