Florida Career College

Anthony Said:

Should i attend florida career college ?

We Answered:

I think that accreditation is a real concern. I worked in a University, and if you should ever want to transfer your credits to another school, know that they may not transfer. Our University would only accept transfer credits from other accredited schools (which did include many community colleges), and considered non-accredited credits as not taking anything at all. If you are learning something specialized and get an official license or certificate, that is great. But if not, I would say that the name of a school speaks volumes when viewed on your resume by a potential employer. It's good you are thinking about this before you start school. Good luck to you!

Marcia Said:

is florida career college accredited?

We Answered:

It would appear that Florida Career College is approved and licensed to operate in Florida.

Neither "approved" nor "licensed" is the same as accredited.

Florida Career College is listed in the CHEA database as accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) which makes them recognized as accredited by the US Gov't.

Understand though that ACICS accreditation doesn't transfer well to most colleges and universities. What you want to find for maximum transferability is regional accreditation.

Anne Said:

is florida career college a good or bad school?

We Answered:

This is what somebody who worked there said about it:

FCC doesn't care at all about its students. What it cares about is getting the federal government to provide loans to students so that it can profit - end of story. They say, "the college that cares," but if students could hear how they talk about them behind their backs, they would run. I've heard students referred to in meetings as "the dregs of society," "those who couldn't make it anywhere else," and so on. The school refers to itself, behind the students' backs as, "they last hope for these losers." I was instructor there. I feel very sad for the students. Someone should help these students find a real school.

Does anyone know the tuition for the LPN program at Concorde career college in jacksonville florida?

We Answered:

I am not sure what there tuition is, but I do know something about them that is VERY important.

They are not accredited by the higher learning commision. I actually cannot find any accreditation on them that is a real accrediting body.

I would not go there if I were you. It will be a waste of your money. You will not be able to transfer your degree to anywhere else. It will be as if you did all that work for nothing.
