Zachary Said:
What are the best colleges in the country for interior design? We Answered:
I have been researching this too. I am about to graduate with a degree in something more general, so my options are a little bit limited compared to yours. However, I have found the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), California State University, Northridge (CSUN), Woodbury University, and Santa Monica College. These programs all look like they are worth finding out more information. Right now, I'm leaning toward choosing FIDM, but I'm still unsure. Please, let me know which program you end up choosing and why. It will really help me in my own search. You can email me.

What are some interior design colleges? We Answered:
One of the best is Design Center for the Arts in Pasadena, CA. Otis Arts Institute in downtown LA is also top notch! Sorry but we're on the left coast.Sonia Said:
I am majoring in Interior Design. What about colleges in New York State possibly Cornell University? We Answered:
look into the SUNY system (state university of new york)--those colleges are spread out all over new york state..fyi, parts of new york state would not be considered "upbeat and fast moving"..cornell for example is in ithaca, new york which is a cool college town but other than that it is kind of rural...cornell is a great ivy league school but it also has a great ivy league price tagKristen Said:
any good architecture/interior design colleges? We Answered:
There are many good schools across the country. You need to decide what program area you want to study (architecture and interior design are two different disciplines), what part of the country you want to live in, and how much you are willing to pay. There are schools like the International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT) and The Art Institute (AI) spread out around the country that offer Associate and Bachelor programs in Interior Design.
There are also traditional colleges that offer Bachelor's and Master's degrees in both Architecture and Interior Design.
