What do I need to be a vet in FL?We Answered:
Here's a link to the requirements to get into the University of Florida. The second one is the actual link to UF's requireents, but in case you couldn't get the PDF I included the link to the original website. It can give you the requirements for most of the US vet schools and it has the links to the official websites for the rest of them.UF doesn't require a 4 year degree, but most people who are accepted have one. You'll be able to complete some of these inititial courses at a community college, but the upper level chemistries and biologies will have to be taken at a 4 year university regardless of whether or not you're going to pursue a degree.

Pediatric Nursing- Only experienced answer please? We Answered:
Your next steps are to be accepted (after applying) to nursing school - there are several ways to become a nurse...One being an LPN course (a solid year) and then state boards. While you train in clinical you should do a ped. rotation and it is there that you will know. ( I LOVE KIDS )
but for me I couldn't deal with it as sweet kids had terminal illness's - I always thought I would dislike the geriatric care and turned out to like it a lot (so you never know).. but during training you find your passion -
RN is a 2-3 year degree - look up local schools - I did a solid two years - (It was a lot) but worth it.
BSN is a four year college degree - and of course keep going for your masters - the more school the most $$.
Depends on hospitals what they expect from you and generally will tell you in job descriptions what extra things you need to be a ped. nurse. Once you have the job they generally pay for you to keep certified -
As far as a private office I doubt your benefits will be as good but you never know - and your patient care in an office is just short and history, vitals and shots and paper work.
In a hospital you are in charge of a patient during your shift -
so depending on your other patients needs - etc.. you have more contact. -
(sorry this got winded)...but nursing is a skill you will have forever -

Two options for college which one?We Answered:
Embry-Riddle is a fantastic school for aspiring pilots. It's your call, but I think the extra debt would be worth the name recognition, instruction, and not having to balance school, work, and lessons.Lee Said:
I want to move to a new city, I just don't know what one...?We Answered:
You might like the town of Oxford OH. It's a college town and home to Miami University. Cost of housing is still affordable, and it is not a dry area. It's located about 20 minutes from Houston Woods state park which offers camping, hiking, and non motor water sports. The Ohio River isn't very far if you're into water skiing. Oxford is also not far from down town Cincinnati, about 45minutes. You would have access to the things a big city offers like traveling Broadway shows, a ballet company, a symphony orchestra, and several museums when you wanted. Miami University has a good basketball team and an OK football team, and admission to the games is still pretty cheap.Good luck on your move!
