List Of Colleges In Ohio

Beth Said:

Who can help me find more info about these colleges?

We Answered:

Go to College Board and compare the colleges.

You can see how your SAT scores stack up to the average students at each school, see the campus types, what kind of extras each school has, prices, available degrees. Whole nine yards.

College is really important. Aside from picking a good school (which all of them are pretty much on the same level) you need to pick the schools that best suit your career. After that it's really up to preference, but you should apply to all of them and see which ones accept you before you go nitpicking. After that then pick which ones are best.

The school I eventually want to go to was picked because I heard a lot about it, it's got a really active campus with a lot of clubs I'd be into, a diverse campus which is a big plus to me because I don't like race dominated situations and is fairly large which is also great. I don't want to keep running into the same people. They also take my career track all the way into Masters so it's all good.

Decide what's important to you and also your area, college is what you want to make of it really. It can be a great experience of a stressful one throughout.

how is this list of colleges?

We Answered:

Princeton is one of the best universities in the world.

William & Mary is one of the better public universities in the US

Rutgers and Ohio State are excellent public universities, but not quite as good as William and Mary.

Then there is a huge drop off in quality before you get to Seton Hall. It is not a very good university. If you want a Catholic University in the East, look at Georgetown, Boston College, Villanova or the College of the Holy Cross -- but avoid Seton Hall at all costs.

Don't listen to the person who goes on about California. I got my PhD at Berkeley and hated living out there. The people are not that nice and the food is horrible (they put too much cilantro in EVERYTHING).

I have a question about becoming a veterinary technician?

We Answered:

Have you been on campus to those colleges in Ohio that have good veterinary technician programs? Its a good idea to visit the colleges on site because it will definitely change your mind. I'm also a senior in high school and I have visited colleges that i really wanted to go to, but they turned out to be not so great. I suggest you should go visit the college first before taking them off your list of colleges permanently.

Good list of colleges to apply for in Ohio?

We Answered:

Just run a search on one of the free online search services and limit yourself to Ohio.

Here are three:

collegeboard.com
princetonreview.com
cappex.com

I like that you are considering keeping your undergrad expenses under control. Just for comparison, if it looks like you would get accepted to Kenyon [in my opinion the finest liberal arts school in the US], see what kind of scholarships and grants they would give you. If it is close to the local state school, it would be worth it to go there.

2 of my kids went to private wonderful schools and it didn't cost much more than the state schools.
