What should i expect about my 84 in a 40 speeding ticket? We Answered:
It seems like you already know the basics of what to expect. Good thinking getting a lawyer! $500 to $1,000 sounds like the right ball park. The only things I can think of that you might not have considered are the Illinois DMV might suspend your license due to how far over the limit you were and your insurance cost is going way up on conviction.
The only way "I didn't know what road I was on" would help you in this case is if there was a road in the area where driving 84 MPH was legal. I don't think you will find one. Your best bet is to let your lawyer negotiate a deal for you. You'll still pay a fine, it will still hit your insurance, but the damage to your pocket will be less, and the lawyer might be able to help you keep your license!

Ranken Technical College?We Answered:
I think one of the reasons they claim high job placement is that companies often send their employees there for company paid training. They count that as placing someone in a job. They get higher ratings in more mechanical training rather than computer science or engineering. Its really viewed as more of a techinical school rather than a college.
If you are going to work in computer science, I'd strongly suggest going to a junior college (but make sure all your courses will transfer to a four year university) and then finishing at a four year college. UMSL will take an associates degree in full and apply the 60 credits to what you will need. You will get a lot more respect with a degree from UMSL, Webster, SLU or Wash U than you will get from Ranken in the computer field.
