Santa Barbara State College became a campus of the University of California in the 1950s! It is called University of California, Santa Barbara.

The UC campuses at UCLA and probably Irvine have better theater programs. The Irvine B.F.A. in theater often takes five years to complete.

In any event, you will also need an additional year of teacher training courses.
