Community colleges are great for any student. Whether you go to CC or a university, you pretty much study the same things during those first two years. You will have smaller classes and more personal attention at CC because of the size of the school.

By going to CC, you can save money by staying at home and having a part-time job. It is easier to get a job in your hometown than in a university town. By saving on room and board, as well as lower tuition, you can complete your college education without going deeply into debt.

STCC is a state community college and fully accredited. It would be great place to start your college education. And, frankly, I enjoyed CC more than my two years at the university because I had two more years with most of my friends (most of them honors students).

They should be offered through your high school, so your HS counselor would be able to tell you the best estimate.
Because it's a community college, it'll probably $30-$70 per credit hour per semester... which equals out to $90-$210 per semester. Much cheaper than university.
But most college in high school programs also offer some sort of scholarship to take care of part or all of the cost :]. So ask about that, too.
Also, if you're taking the classes independently of high school, it's going to be much more expensive and time consuming.

There are about a billion "southwest community college"s XD. Check the website--you'll need to tag on city and state in google to find it.

Look in your course schedule book, and see if there are instructions on how to do it online. If that is not an option, you will need to go to the Registrar's office after allowing enough time for grades to be posted to them, and ask for a copy of your transcript.
