Nope, not if you want to stay in college. I'm sure they have a policy against trying to bypass their networks, and violations could result in expulsion.

Most work-arounds don't work well anyway, and their system can probably detect the protocols like torrents, regardless if you use an external proxy or not....

What you need to do is open your settings using the top right hand button 'Settings'. The second tab at the top of the editing screen is 'Networks'. Click on that.

Find the network it is you want to change, and click 'edit info' at the top right hand side of that smaller box. You can change your leaving year from there.

There's a very good chance that your college is blocking this port (for good reason). It's rare nowadays that you'll see colleges open these up for liability reasons.

You can try a proxy connection or something, which may get you around their filters, but in my experience, that's a slower option.
