Imperial (by far), university college London and King's College are generally held to be the best in London. However, without a specific degree (engineering, computer science etc) it is much harder to tell which would be best for you. If you have a specific course in mind you can go to this website http://unistats.direct.gov.uk/englishInd… for a better search. Ranking by UCAS score is probably the best.

There are also plenty of good science universities outside London, which may actually be better for your course than London based ones. The University of Bath and St Andrew's University (near Dundee) and of course Cambridge and Oxford are all very good.

It depends what it is that you are wanting to do. Use the second link below to search for suitable colleges. If you enter London, you will see that there are over 200 courses.

Edit:
City of Westminster might be best, but it depends what you want to do as you have to choose a particular course. There are access courses for science, nursing, music, fashion, arts subjects - lots of things - some colleges are better at some things than others.

there are over 50 universities in london but there are 13 that are seperated from the crop and distinguished by the heading 'University of London'. you will want to check these ones out, although i assume they will requre a higher GPA than average. for business the top ones include London School of Economics, University College London, Imperial College etc. here is a website with more details to these 'better' institutions:
