go with medical assistant without the degree you do not need to have a degree to be a medical assistant but if you want to be an rn i would go to a community college and get an associates degree in nursing if you need to work right away go to school for lvn than later you can do the bridge program from lvn to rn but whatever you choose do not get a degree for medical assistant it is not worth the money for the lil pay you will get and also you can do cna to lvn to rn good luck

How can i convince my mom to let me go to the college i want to attend in Utath?

We Answered:

You should apply to several colleges, both in and out of your home state. Your criteria should be schools that offer the study path that you want to pursue, not their location.

Once you get accepted, and you may get accepted by more than one school, then the price becomes a deciding factor.

In state students pay significantly less than out of state students. The bottom line is that you go to the best school that you can afford that offers the study path that you want to pursue. Once you work all of that out, it may be that the school is in your hometown, or two states over.

College question: computer science really a 'top job'? What else to major in?

We Answered:

Computer science is an excellent and fast growing field. Friends of mine that chose that as a major got the kind of job you're describing just after leaving school. There is a degree of competition, but the market is so large and varied you can work almost anywhere you want.

With your science degree... look for a field that incorporates both of them. My friend had a computer science degree as well as a science, and he went into Biomedical Engineering (designing prosthetics).

It's true that a lot of tech jobs are being outsourced, but there is plenty of available, well paying jobs in the US for citizens. You also have your pick of fields- programming, IT management, consulting, software engineering, etc. Every major company in the world has an IT department.

Hope that helps- best of luck!

DOES UTAH CAREER COLLEGE HAVE A TRACK TEAM??

We Answered:

An indirect answer>>check the school's webpage. Find the athletics or sports category on the webpage and click it, or type track in theschool's homepage's search box, or go to yahoo search and type Utah Career College Track field. If you're not lead to the sport, that individual school probably doesn't have a track team.

healthcare career question?

We Answered:

I go to a technical school that offers a nursing program. The program doesn't certify you as a nurse because (I asked some students) you take the test after. From what I heard from the two students I asked was that the nursing program requires you to be very indulged in the program, sometimes waking up very early (or what I think is early) to go to a clinical workshop at like a hospital. They also said it was very hard test-wise and they have to study constantly to do very well. One completely failed and said he was a bad test taker. He is leaving to another school. The other said she took her pre-requisites first, and all the stuff that wasn't necessarily nursing based. That way she could focus completely on nursing-but she too said it was hard. I asked because I was thinking about it and had been researching it. I thought of the money, the nature of the work, time, and advancement opportunities. Hospitals pay for you to get higher degrees sometimes, I think. I would eventually want to be a practitioner if I took that rout.
