Fred Said:

Is there such a thing as a "learning center" for children who have under-developed in certain ways?

We Answered:

Hi, The behaviors you listed in your question are, in some cases, normal behavior. However, prolonged, consistent, behaviors such as these could point to a long term medical condition. Have you taken him to either a Developmental Pediatrician, Pediatric Neurologist, Child Psychologist or Child Psychiatrist to be evaluated...just to be on the safe side? If this has been going on for some time and you feel it is a problem, I strongly suggest you seek professional help for him. If, indeed, he does have a problem....it makes him just as frustrated as it does you. You must take him to someone who is an expert in dealing with these behaviors. Your primary doctor, or pediatrician, is not the one you need to see in order to get an expert diagnoses.
Here are some sites to read. I see there are a number of his behaviors listed in these sites. The sites not only address autism but other related conditions.
