Bob Said:

I have a Minor Consumption charge, and the fine was never paid in full, does this dq me from joining the ARMY?

We Answered:

You cannot enlist in any of the US armed forces if you have outstanding legal issues.

Pay off the fine then go see a recruiter.

And a GED makes you a 'low-quality applicant' and not eligible for bonuses. Go take a semester at a local community college and that will turn you into a 'quality applicant.'

Clayton Said:

What are some good SAT practice books?

We Answered:

I would highly suggest taking Barron's because it is usually tougher than the actual College Board exam. This allows you to over prepare yourself, thus allowing you to score higher. Most of the books will cover all of the same material because the exam itself does not differ as much, but just the way it is taught. However, I do know that Princeton Review allows users to submit an essay online so professional graders can grade your essay, but I would highly suggest Barrons.

How can I prepare for my M.C.A. test?

We Answered:

if this is for reding only. first i think you want to read the directions first. then you should do the big 5 ( 1. predict 2. context clues 3. summaries the story 4. main idea 5. authors purpose of the story.)
if you do that it should help you only 75% . then you do the next step (elimination of wrong answers . finding more evidence from the answer you have chosen.) that wil absolutely help you 100%

Have you tried the PowerScore Reading Comprehension Bible?

Since English isn't your first language, there's only so much you can do. My main advice is that you just read more. Read the Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Scientific American or really anything you can get your hands on.

I can't say what your main problem with RC is, but what I wouldn't be surprised if it were a language barrier issue. You might be missing crucial details in the passage because of it.
