For me, Games was my problem on the LSAT, so I know where you are coming from. My best advice is to go out and buy the Powerscore LSAT Logic Games Bible. They talk in detail about diagramming games and answer choice strategies. There is also a Reading Comprehension LSAT Bible, but I don't know as much about that one because RC was my best section :)

Get those books, read them twice, and take a lot of notes. You will eventually get really good at anticipating what is going to happen int he questions, and that will help you go faster and be more accurate.

You can do it--games went from being my weakness to being my strength, and I know you can get better at comp too :)

I understand exactly what you are going through. I have a learning disability and a touch of ADD, and I am thinking that's what you have. I am a sophomore, nursing major in college. I hate reading and I can't comprehend what I am reading. When I watch a movie or something, I have to ask what is going on, because I don't understand! It's embarrassing. Your not the only one. I wish they did do some research on what we have. I have tried to read all the Harry Potter books, but I haven't even finished the first chapter of the first book. I don't understand how anybody can get through the books in just a few days! I hate reading!! When I took the ACT and some other test, the vocabulary and reading comprehension killed me! I just don't understand it.

I say just don't give up reading and go to a Psychologist to get tested for learning disability and ADD/ADHD. Maybe someone someday will figure out what we have and treat it.

The reading was easier on ACT compared to SAT (for me), it seemed like there was less time on the ACT.
I was advised to read through the questions first, then read the passage to help speed things up.

Perhaps pick a chapter out of a book from the A-Z Mysteries series by Ron Roy? Or simply pick a news article you think is interesting. I read an article about a boy getting his head stuck in a toilet once - that might interest him a bit, plus it'll make him feel "grown-up," reading actual news. You can find lots of interesting and true articles.

i dont know if u will like da strategy or not...read da passage (while reading find the topic of each paragraph nd write what you think the topic is right next to the paragraph on the margin. then figure out the main idea of the passage by reading the topics next to the paragraphs nd that will help you find out the first question which is the main idea question.other questions r based on inferences or from the passage. using this will help you track down that piece of info.) i didnt like this at first eithr but i saw how my scores for reading comprehension improved. its 100% guarantee your reading comprehension scores will improve.
