Reading Comprehension Beginners

Rafael Said:

where can I find free basic/easy Italian literature for beginners?

We Answered:

We took a short course in Italian at night school. The teacher recommended "Pinocchio" for further reading. It has the advantage of being a familiar story with a fairly simple vocabulary. We were lucky enough to find a copy in Italian at a used bookstore in Cleveland. Amazon.com would be a good source. For more advanced students he mentioned the classic novel "I Promessi Sposi".

You can also look in bookstores for other textbooks than the one you happen to be using. Almost all of them will have short reading selections. The bookstores might carry Italian popular magazines too.

Sherry Said:

website that have easy Chinese reading material? very easy, like for beginners?

We Answered:

Well, the best is to talk to a native Chinese speaking guy, honestly, it's really hard to find easy Chinese websites, or you may try to buy entry level books for Chinese. I can say that you can learn to speak Chinese very well with everyday practice within 3 months, but if you really want to read and understand Chinese characters, maybe it'll take you more than 3 years, or at least 1 year if you have some knowledge of Chinese

I know that Barnes and Nobel helps their employees publish. You might talk with them or get a job there part time.

Danielle Said:

Dear English native speakers all around the world, I am in bad need of your help!?

We Answered:

In 1 and 2, the first sentences do not sound good. Because should not start a sentence.

Beatrice Said:

Dear English experts, I am in bad need of your help?

We Answered:

1 - "Because life in their villages is not varied enough to satisfy them." I can't correct this because it's a sentence fragment. Because..., what? If you remove the word "because", it becomes a valid sentence, but it may not say what you want it to say. I'd need some context to know.

2- Same problem. You're almost always in trouble when you start a sentence with "because", and you may not be able to fix this one by removing the "because". Again, context matters.

3 - Looks ok.

4 - Looks ok (although I question the assumptions in the sentence. :) )
