German Homework?

We Answered:

I don't think it should be too difficult for a 5th year honors student. I would hope you would be almost fluent by now. You should be able to crank out some sentences and questions pretty well by now- hopefully almost as easily as you could English.

I guess it's difficult to know how much homework it actually is without seeing it but my guess is that you should be able to handle it.

Also, don't sports and clothing vocabulary usually come in 1st year German? What on earth do you talk about in 5th year? You should be reading Gunter Grass and discussing German existentialism or something. :-)

Do you have a German lesson everyday .

plz help problem with parents?

We Answered:

i dont feel you have any explaining to do - he should have respected your privacy and not gone nosing around , so it's his problem I realise I speaking from a different cultural background here but how you express your thoughts and feelings are part of your own identity regardless of race religion or whatever. You shouldn't need to have to bring it up again and you shouldn't feel guilty about expressing your thoughts. i just think it's very sad that your father can not express his emotions and therefore does not allow it amongst the rest of the family .Just carry on doing what feels right for you and dont feel embarassed or guilty about it - the problem is not yours
