Reading Comprehension Websites

Felix Said:

Do you know any websites that would help my son with his reading comprehension?

We Answered:

Check out your local libaries website. Also the librarian in the kids section may likely be a wonderful resource to chat with.

Also our kids teacher, recommends letting our kids ask quesitons while reading to them (their still in picture books). If your child is older, you could also read chapter books to them at night. Then each night before you start to read, ask questions on the night before. 39 Clues, or something like Choose Your Own Adventure, might be good books for an older kid also, as they make you think while you are reading

Herbert Said:

Volunteer tutoring 4th-6th graders with problems in reading comprehension. Any websites were I can find help?

We Answered:

I would suggest contacting some of the public schools in your area. Many public schools have a long list of qualified tutors that come in and volunteer at the school during the year. perhaps they can give you the contact information for a few. Also, you could contact the high school in your area because most high schools require students to have volunteer hours and they are often very willing to help. hope you find someone!
