Associate Degree In Accounting

Dwight Said:

Will an Associate's degree in Business Administration transfer to a Bachelor's degree in Accounting?

We Answered:

Yes, the Associate degree can easily transfer to the Bachelors degree as the core subjects of both are similar. However, the exact number of transfer credits you get would depend on the individual college.

Jorge Said:

What opens more doors, Associate Degree in Accounting, or Associates in Finance?

We Answered:

The job market changes daily, today a bank folded, tomorrow nobody graduating in finance will get a finance job, but either degree can get you a job, it all depends on what jobs you want.

Lawrence Said:

how many years will it take me to earn a bachelor degree in accounting if I have an associate degree?

We Answered:

It'll take 2 maybe 3 yrs depends on how many credits they accept, the course rotation, the program requirements, etc. I doubt you would be able to finish within a year unless you took on a very large course load each semester.

A bachelor degree is usually at least 120 credits and an associate degree is around 60-75 credits. Most schools will only transfer a certain number of credits (usually 60 or less) into a bachelors degree program. If you received your associates degree at the same college you will be attending for the bachelors degree, it might be a different story.

Eddie Said:

Which one is easier to get a job; Associate Degree in Accounting or Associate Degree in Web Design? Why?

We Answered:

look at the classifieds online in your area, that will help you decide, but personally i believe the accounting will be most helpful in finding sufficient employment that can pay back your financial aid when you graduate. web design is something that millions and millions of people do now and the demand is no where near as high as accounting experience is and it can help you get just about most office jobs web design can only get you one thing web design :D

Greg Said:

Where is an associate degree in accounting going to get me?

We Answered:

If you do well, it would probably help you get into a four-year college for a Bachelor's degree in accounting. With the job market the way it is, I would think it would be hard to find much of anything in that field without more education, and maybe even a CPA.

The medical field is supposed to be one area that will be growing in the next several years. Don't know how training as a medical assistant would fit into that.

Which one would you enjoy more?

You can go to the Labor Department website and see what the outlook is for different fields, although that's only going to be general information. You could talk with someone in an accounting firm to get an idea of whether a two-year degree would make you employable. A hospital's human resources department would be able to tell you what they require for medical assistants, or a doctor's office could tell you what they look for.

Good luck to you.
