Bachelor Of Science Degree Online

Maurice Said:

Are Bachelor's in Applied Science Degrees Recognizable Among Employers?

We Answered:

I agree with your employer that any BS degree will help. In my opinion, it not the particular subject they teach in class as much as how you learn to lean, to demonstrate your abilities, to focus on tasks and work a longer term goal to completion

Occasionally, I have seen job position requirements where they ask for particular degrees but it more common as you advance to see positions where they ask for a general degree and certain number of hours in particular areas, such as math or business,.

As your career advances, communication skills and people (management) skills will become much more important than your technical skills. I know a number of people who current work has very little to do with what they majored in college.

Amanda Said:

I have a 4 year Bachelor of Science Degree in Physiology, what kind of job can I get?

We Answered:

Where did she intern? To get the good jobs she probably needs a master degree in something like physical therapy or get a teaching certificate and teach phys ed. She could be a trainer at a health club or if she is really lucky get hired by a professional team to train with them. she could also go back and get a masters in sports medicine and have a much better chance at finding profitable work with a sports team but the competition is fierce.

Is an online degree really worth it?

We Answered:

As long as the college (online or campus based) is regionally accredited, any degree you earn should be accepted by any potential employers or other academic institutions.
My best recommendation would be to contact a number of colleges to find the best fit for you and your needs (tuition, schedule, career opportunities, etc.). Too often people enroll in the first school they find rather than taking the time to find the best school for them. Taking that time now could save you a lot of time, money and frustration if you choose the wrong school.
This site has some good info on regionally accredited online degrees and some colleges that offer them to help expand your search:

I think you can enter your info on there for any colleges you are interested in and they will send you more info for free. Good Luck!
