Bachelors Masters Degree

Helen Said:

What is the salary difference between a bachelors and masters degree in the field of public relations?

We Answered:

In any field, the average salary of a person with a master's degree is about $10,000 more than that of a person with a bachelor's degree. You can pretty much do anything in public relations with a bachelor's if you rack up job experience, but getting a master's will allow you to get to higher positions faster.

What is the difference between a masters and bachelors degree?

We Answered:

You'd start with a bachelors degree (4 year college degree). A masters degree is another 2-3 years of advanced classes after the bachelors, and may require a thesis of original work and/or passing a qualifying exam in order to earn the degree. There are many types of CSI - some expect you to have a great deal of training in science. Figure out what you need for the type you want to be.

What are the chances of me getting into a university in NY with a british masters/bachelors degree?

We Answered:

You are all over the shop. Do you want a bachelor's, masters, professional or doctorate degree in the United States?

Having a bachelor's degree already from the U.K. is just a bachelor's degree. You will still need to take the GRE for admission the score from that combined with the type of bachelors degree (1st, 2:1 etc) will determine which universities are safeties, reach and competitive schools for you to apply to.

But simply holding a bachelor's degree is not going to hinder nor aid your application. It simply just meets one of the prerequisites to applying for admission.
